What better way to update my blog than with girls football? With what began as a senior dream in 2008 has now entered its sixth year and continually adding to its success. The Pink and White football game between Sacred Heart Academy and Assumption High School has together raised over $100,000 for the Norton Cancer Institute Breast Health Program since it’s inaugural year.
It was the first time I have been able to attend the game and honestly I had no idea what I was going into. The game sold out, selling 5,000 tickets, the crowd and intensity on the field was amazing, and seeing both St. X and Trinity seniors dance at halftime was priceless.
