Opening Day

Take me out to the ball game!  Opening day for WKU baseball has arrived with a weekend series against Toledo.

Standing around shooting at baseball games always makes me nervous because one is never safe from a hit baseball.  All I need is to take a 70 miles-per-hour ball to the face, or even worse, my 300mm lens.  Gladly, I wasn’t alone with this fear as I watched all the photographers duck at any loud noise.  Our equipment is expensive so don’t judge us!

The weather could have been a little bit better but it’s definitely going to beat the forecast for Sunday’s game – high predicted for 38 degrees with wintery mix.  If I get out there and shoot there better be catching dives facing me every single out or it will not be worth freezing for.
