01-14-2013 Rockets Down Jags Mercy / AHS BB It was a packed house as Assumption faced off at Mercy for the annual battle between the two schools. Assumption High School ended the game on a 9-0 run to top off their 56-41 win against Mercy Academy on Sunday evening at Mercy. The Rockets improved to 12-6 on the season while Mercy fell to 10-5. It was close to the 5 minute mark in the first quarter before Mercy put any points on the board. The game remained relatively close throughout the night and both teams battled until the end with presses and hands-up defense that was in your face. I have loved this match up before high school and it is still exciting to me to see these two schools compete.
