The one thing that I miss the most about high school, is the pride the students take in their school. Friday night was a special treat to shoot seeing as all Jefferson County schools had a snow day, all games around the city were cancelled – except one.
It was a spot that Trinity has found themselves in a lot with their schedule this season, a battle between the top teams in the state. Tonight’s showcase featured No. 2 Trinity vs. No. 5 Madison Central.
Madison Central had a bus that brought a ton of students up for the game and they quickly packed the stands, all wearing their “Indian Insanity” t-shirts. Trinity students slowly packed in before game time and had a full section at tip-off. That was my favorite – packed gym, high intensity, great basketball players.
It was a fairly close game up until the end. Trinity rolled past Madison Central 75-62 and improve to 20-4 on the season.
